I was also pleased to see the progress my girls made and was happy to listen to them practice French amongst themselves outside of class while they played. - Leanne M. French for Young Learners Definitely one of the best French classes on this platform. Mme. Laura is very inclusive and assists the students by encouraging them to try to speak French. The students are speaking French and growing in the language without really knowing it because they are having so much fun. - Adrianna D. French for Young Learners My daughter loves this class. She gets a lot of individualized instruction and is excited for class each week. - Sarah K. French for Young Learners This is my student's third time taking a French class with Kristine Dizon and she enjoys it even more than the first class that she took. Mme. Kristine is very engaging with students and timely with responses to questions and homework. I love that she uses a multi-sensory approach in her teaching, which aids in fluency and confidence. She has a gentle and encouraging manner that helps students to engage, present, and discuss. I love her student development techniques and it's been so cool to watch my student grow in confidence and interest. I strongly recommend this class, we will definitely continue with this instructor. - An Outschool Parent. French for Young Learners My daughter is enjoying learning French in this class. The teacher is patient and kind, and my daughter is looking forward to the next class with her. - Sarah K. French for Young Learners A great course for early French learners. The teacher was engaging, extremely talented, and my son was in awe of her language and music abilities. My student says: Ms. Dizon is a compassionate, patient, and serious teacher. Her teaching style is understanding but persistent. She chooses very good books to use and is very smart. I would recommend this class to all people who truly want to learn French. - An Outschool Parent French for Young Learners LOVE this class and instructor! Mme. Dizon is very engaging and my student has enjoyed her class for two levels. When there is homework, it is very light but purposeful and necessary for grasping the language. Very respectful of students while managing class conduct. Lots of opportunity to speak/ practice. Students learn about French culture, as well as French language. I recommend this class to any student who has a desire to continue with learning the French language. - An Outschool Parent Portuguese for Young Learners Excellent teacher! My daughter loved this class and can’t wait to take part 2. - An Outschool Parent Portuguese for Young Learners Great teacher and nice comfortable environment to learn. - Sofia P. Portuguese for Young Learners It's been a struggle to find a good European Portuguese class - especially one that can hold a child's interest for more than 5 mins! Ms. Kristine ticks all the boxes. She makes the class fun and keeps the kids engaged for the full 50 mins. She is very encouraging and the assignments really help to progress you along. - Claudia C. Portuguese for Young Learners My daughter really enjoyed this class. The teacher was very organized and engaging. She will be taking the 2nd part as well, and a 3rd when it's offered. Thanks a bunch! - Michelle Portuguese for Young Learners AMAZING!!! Kristine is an awesome teacher and my son absolutely loves her. She is so good at teaching and offers a tremendous amount of support and resources. Her lessons are very well thought out and super fun for kids. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone. We can't wait to take more classes from her! - Julie B. Portuguese for Young Learners Kristine is excellent! She clearly is gifted at languages but also at making the course fun and engaging for the kids. She is encouraging but also gives students corrections so they learn proper grammar and pronunciation. The assignments are helpful in reinforcing what is learned each week. I only wish the course was twice a week so the kids could practice speaking more :) Highly recommended! - S. b. Clarinet Lesson Kristine is an excellent teacher! She offers strong support to students while also putting high expectations. She tailors the class according to the student's needs and I appreciate that she always kept me updated. I can tell that she loves teaching music and she is really good at that. My son has been enjoying the class and improved a lot. Thank you so much, Kristine, and we look forward to continuing the clarinet classes with you! - Jing F. Music Theory Kristine uses a broad range of ways to teach the subject. I really enjoy how this engages you in learning as much as possible. I also like how she goes into as much detail as possible and clarifies anything you are confused about. The class environment is very open and welcoming, giving you the chance to make friends while learning. - Dan R. Music Theory Kristine is an excellent teacher and does a great job of explaining difficult concepts so that they can easily be understood. Not only did my son learn a great deal from this class, but I also learned many things as well just by listening in! I highly recommend this class and also highly recommend Kristine as an instructor! - Jenny R. Music Theory My daughter learned a lot she didn't know before in this class and made huge progress. Kristine is always the best. We will continue with other music theory classes so that she will develop further understanding of the big picture. Highly recommend this class if you want to pass theory Grade 5 test. - Bonnie Y. Music Appreciation Great class with lots of amazing history and info! Kristine was really great about reaching out to me to help my kids get the most out of the class! - Katie C. Music Appreciation My daughters thought this class was fun and comprehensive, combining their interest in history and in learning more about music. They liked the Flex format because it gave them flexibility to move at their own pace, never having taken a history of music class before. They liked coming up with different ways to describe what they were hearing in the music each week and looked forward to the assignments. - Sophia K. Music Appreciation My 16 year old homeschooled son, Sawyer just completed the beginner course and really enjoyed it. As a parent educator you want your child to be able to partake in the things they are intrested in even when you can't provide that for them directly. Im grateful to Kristine for sharing her knowledge with him in a way that he could easily grasp the concepts and remain engaged in what he is learning. We plan to continue with music theory and will seek out other classes Kristine teaches as he really enjoys her teaching style. This is a great class for kids who have a genuine intrest in music and who aren't shy about putting a little work into it. We highly recommend! - Jessica V. Music Appreciation This class was wonderful. My son learned a great deal about the different periods of classical music from Kristine, and a stronger appreciation for the composers of the time period. Kristine is an enthusiastic, friendly teacher! - Amanda D. Music History My son thoroughly enjoyed this class. He learned about different composers and musical theory from the classical period. He has taken some classes in this area before, but this class was much more in depth with more technical aspects, which was great. The information was well organized and well presented. The instructor was very engaging and available throughout the course. - Michael Z. Music History This is a thorough class on rock and roll history that really helped my teen singer/songwriter understand the history of her passion. Big recommend! - Kelli Music History This was an awesome class for our musically inclined son. Kristine is very knowledgeable, presented tons of interesting information in an organized way and kept the kids engaged. Our son is also currently enrolled in her music theory classes. We highly recommend Kristine for all things music-related! - Julia M. Music History This was our very first Outschool class and it was a wonderful experience. Kristine covered much more material than I would have thought possible in the time allotted and she made it fun. My daughter had a good understanding of everything that was covered and Kristine provided a well-organized PDF outline of everything that was discussed, including links to all videos that were watched as part of the live class. We will definitely be taking the full version of this class as well as several of Kristine's others. - Shylah C. Music Theory for All Levels: Private Tutoring 1:1 Music Theory made fun! Kristine's love of music and teaching are a wonderful combination which inspire even the younger musicians. My daughter has been studying music theory with Kristine for the past 6 months and it has been a very enjoyable experience for her. Kristine tailors the pace to how well she understands the material and sets extra homework outside of the book where more practice is needed. Homework is reviewed with the student in class and then corrections are also sent through so you can review this later. The goal is not just memorizing the rules to pass the exam but studying music theory so it stays for the long-term. Kristine is a very positive person and I highly recommend her classes. - Marissa B. Music Theory for All Levels: Private Tutoring 1:1 My daughter (age 11) was somewhat reluctant to take this, thinking it would be super boring. After having had two lessons however, she insisted on continuing. While of course there is some tedious homework, Kristine manages to make the lessons both engaging and fun, and is very adept at adjusting content to the students level and interest. I would definitely recommend this class to other musically interested students. - Henriette D. Music Theory for All Levels: Private Tutoring 1:1 My 12 yr old has really enjoyed her music theory lessons. Having played piano for a few years without much attention to theory Kristine was really good at identifying where there were gaps and explaining clearly the theory. We think the lessons are great and Kristine is lovely. - Claire G. Clarinet Lessons My 10 year old is enjoying the class and learning a lot and has already made good progress in just a few lessons with Kristine. She is a very thorough teacher, very observant and gives detailed instructions on how my son can improve in specific aspects. - Sherifa M. Clarinet Lessons Kristine is a wonderful teacher who is patient and enthusiastic. My daughter has been doing private clarinet lessons with her for 2 months and has substantially improved in tone, depth and ability. She loves class and looks forward to it every week. - Caroline G. Clarinet Lessons Kristine did a great job working with my 9-year-old son on clarinet fundamentals, which my beginner clarinet player very much needed. She is open and approachable and engaging, while at the same time paving a path for students to grow and mature in their technique and musical expression. I also appreciate that she gives students the opportunity to proceed at the pace of their choice: they can submit practice videos during the week to get feedback and additional assignments before the next lesson, or they can keep the pace more deliberate if they need to focus on mastering something. She also shared theory and sheet music exercises online with us and gave us helpful advice on purchasing an appropriate reed. Thank you! - An Outschool Parent Voice Lessons My 9 year old loves her! - David M. Voice Lessons April is great! - Hailey C. Guitar Lessons My daughter loves Asher and she has learned so much! She has been continuing to practice and will continue taking classes with him after our little break. We highly recommend this teacher! - Wild and Unstructured Learning
