COURSE STRUCTUREIn this course, students will learn how to internalise music through conducting, singing (using solfege syllabus), and notating/writing and transcribing music. The class will begin with the examining of rhythm and pulse that drives and measures, the music, and use this as a foundation for better understanding exactly what we hear. From this basis, students will sing and notate melodies and harmonies using various contemporary tunes as models.
