Katy JamesonMs. Katy currently live in rural Illinois with her husband and our two cats. When she is not teaching, she can usually be found reading, writing, or finding any excuse to spend time outside.
She first got into teaching while working one-on-one with students with special behavioral needs. Then she moved to Mexico where she assisted with an equine therapy program. After returning to the U.S., she taught K-5 Spanish at a public elementary school for two years, before transitioning to online teaching. She believe learning should be both fun and interactive, even when it feels challenging. She know that language learning can be especially messy and even uncomfortable. Her biggest hope for my students is that when they come to my class, they feel safe and supported. She encourage them to do hard things, while ensuring that they know they are allowed to make as many mistakes as they need to along the way. She can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together! |
